NEXT TUESDAY TALK: 10th May
The cross-correspondences by Trevor Hamilton author of 'Tell my mother I'm not dead'The Talk refers to a series of automatic scripts and trance utterances from a group of automatic writers and mediums. These scripts have a particular relevance for an Edinburgh audience. One of the mediums involved was Trix Fleming, Rudyard Kipling’s sister, who lived the last period of her life in Edinburgh, and who has never really come out of the shadow of her more famous brother. The Balfour family of Whittingehame figure largely in the scripts. There were messages to the Conservative Prime Minister Arthur Balfour (1902-1905) from his long dead love May Lyttelton and from his deceased brother the brilliant scientist Francis Maitland Balfour who died in a climbing accident in 1882.
Talk starts 7:30pm. Click here to book or Pay at the door.
