This is a gentle theraputic movement and exercise to music programme designed to help you thrive. Originally devised as The Lebed Method, a movement programme for people with Breast Cancer to support post-treatment wellbeing, it has developed into an internationally-taught programme of movement classes aimed at many different groups of people. Currently I am focussing on running classes with seniors.
The classes I run are for people over 55 regardless of health or ability level. The Healthy-Steps programme improves overall wellness, reduces pain, reduces depression, and increases range-of-motion, balance, energy, strength and endurance, as well as boosting emotional well-being and self-image. The focus on supporting the lymphatic system makes it especially effective for people post illness or surgery. It can be done standing or sitting and is ideal for people who have never exercised before or as a stepping stone towards more vigorous exercise.
