The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre
Birdsong and Folk Song
We are pleased to welcome Tony Randle and Alice Williams to the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre for their performance of ‘Birdsong and Folk Song’. Together they will perform a blend of original solo acoustic guitar pieces and songs, Birdsong and Folk Song reflects two sides of the nylon string guitar. With solo acoustic sketches inspired by listening to birdsong in Sussex, and songs reflecting folk heritage.
The solo pieces were inspired by the WWT Arundel site. Tony hopes to have created something which evokes the spirit of the place and its wildlife. He was lucky enough to be asked to perform these pieces there, a rare chance for an artist to perform music in the place of its genesis. Tony will be joined by the young and talented Alice Williams on vocals.
