Since our founding in 2011, the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre has strived to serve our community here in Edinburgh – and often beyond. As a spiritual centre for the holistic wellbeing of society, it is ever-important that we keep up with the changing and growing needs of our community and that we know how we can truly be of value and service.
Here at the Centre we have gone through a number of changes in recent years, from a growing staff and volunteer team, to developing our brand and online presence – we even have a newly refurbished website on the way. It has been a busy time indeed!
In today’s world change is indeed the norm, as our lives become busier, our schedules fuller, and the demands of every-day life pile up. It’s important to know how to keep ourselves and our lives in balance, and prioritise our wellbeing.
As we continue to grow, it is important for us to reflect on our values and on the objectives we set out to serve our community. At this exciting time, we are keen to hear from you about what you would like to see here at the Centre.
Whether you’re a regular in our tearoom and at our events, or you’ve yet to set foot through the door, we would love you to take a moment to think about what we could be doing to best serve you and the community. We’ve put together this online survey to gather just that sort of information, and to inform how we ourselves will continue to develop.
We are a spiritual centre for the holistic wellbeing of society, advocates of nurturing the mind, body and spirit of all. Our weekly classes include activities such as yoga and Pilates, we are host to an array of alternative healers and a Spiritualist church, as well as having an on-site nutritionist, writing school and life-coaches.
These are all efforts to provide for our community – to allow everyone to find space to calm their mind, heal their body, and connect with their spirit. We know that everyone’s needs are unique to them and their situation, and so what is on offer at the Centre is truly diverse.
We love getting to know our community, whether that is in person or online, and finding out new ways that we can bring you a greater sense of well-being in your life. We would love to know what you would like to see provided here in Edinburgh, and it would be a huge help to us if you could take a minute to fill out our online survey for us to get your views.
If you have any advice or feedback, you can leave us a comment below telling us what you think Edinburgh is missing and what you believe would be a benefit to the mind, body and spirit of our great city.
We are all on a path of growth, discovery and transformation – and thank you for being a part of ours! To keep up to date with the developments at the Centre, as well as receiving future blog posts, event updates and more, you can sign up to our mailing list using the form below or follow us on Facebook.
