A Space for You
The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre at 25 Palmerston Place is a listed building in a World Heritage Site and just a five-minute walk from Haymarket. It is an impressive Victorian Townhouse which retains its original beauty. It’s our pleasure to provide a beautiful, welcoming space for your event.
Rooms are available on an hourly, half-day or full-day basis. A half-day is for 4 hours, a full-day is for 8 hours.

The Helen Duncan Room
Our largest room features an ornate Victorian fireplace and chandelier. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer beautiful views of St Mary’s Cathedral. Your guests will love how attractive and well-lit this space is. The Helen Duncan hosts large workshops, catered events and classes. It is a fresh and vibrant space for any event.

The Mary Duffy Room

The Sanctuary Space
With stained glass windows and original features from 1800, The Sanctuary is a special space. Its high capacity, raised platform and pulpit make it an ideal seminar space. Currently home to a church, this space is the perfect place to host your next event. This room has also hosted company board meetings, Tai-Chi classes and even a wedding ceremony.

Our tearoom is normally stocked with hot drinks, treats and healthy snacks. Tea and Coffee service, with biscuits included, is available for £2.50 per person. If you would rather bring your own supplies we can provide a hot water urn and crockery for £50.

Want a space for the weekend?
We offer weekend hire for an additional 15% cost. A minimum of 4 hours booking is required for weekend hire.
Cancellation Policy
You must notify us of any cancellation in writing, such cancellation taking effect from the date the notice is received by us. We shall use all reasonable endeavours to mitigate loss by taking such steps as we, at our sole discretion deem appropriate, in order to rebook the available date (any success will be taken into account when calculating the cancellation fee due by you).
