Our Tuesday Talks Spring Season begins with ‘After-Death Communications’. Elsaesser discusses insights gathered from a large-scale study of the phenomenology and impact of post-mortem communication.

20th April 2021. Lance Butler in Conversation with Rupert Sheldrake. 7.30pm. £5.
Our Chairman, Prof. Lance Butler interviews Biologist and proponent of Spirituality, Dr Rupert Sheldrake. Topics are likely to include consciousness, spirituality and Dr Sheldrake’s recent work.

Our Chairman, Prof. Lance Butler discusses the continuity of consciousness with Cardiologist and Author, Dr Pim Van Lommel.

4th May 2021. ‘A Quest for Wisdom’ by David Lorimer. 7.30pm. £5.
Programme Director for The Scientific and Medical Network, David Lorimer gives an overview of the themes from his new book, A Quest For Wisdom. David presents his thoughts on philosophy, spirituality, consciousness and more.

11th May 2021. ‘Bridge Over Troubled Waters: Psychotherapy and Spirituality’ by Dr Harald Walach. 7.30pm. £5.
Dr Walach argues why we need to integrate paranormal and spiritual experience into our concept of the world. Presented in the context of psychotherapy which is his field of expertise.

18th May 2021. ‘Near-Death Experiences & The Emerging Scientific View Of Consciousness’ by Eben Alexander, M.D. 7.30pm. £5.
Celebrated Author and Academic Neurosurgeon, Dr Eben Alexander presents his thoughts on the phenomena surrounding NDEs and their impact on the scientific consensus on the nature of consciousness.

25th May 2021. ‘Impossible Truths: Exploring Research at the Boundary Where Neuroscience and Mystical Experience Meet’ by Dr Marjorie Woollacott. 7.30pm. £5.
An in-depth exploration of consciousness from the scientific and mystical perspective. Dr Woollacott will cover topics relating to brain activity recorded during mystical experiences.

1st June 2021. ‘Spontaneous Spiritual Awakenings’ by Jessica Corneille. 7.30pm. £5.
Research Psychologist, Jessica Corneille shares her own experience of spiritual awakening and gives an overview of the current state of research in this area. Jessica will discuss the impact of these revelatory experiences on wellbeing and compare them with other altered states of consciousness.

8th June 2021. ‘End of Life Experiences’ by Dr Peter Fenwick. 7.30pm. £5.
President of the Scientific and Medical Network, Dr Peter Fenwick discusses his lifelong research into phenomena surrounding end of life experiences.

15th June 2021. ‘Experiencing the Divine in the Lucid Dream State’ with Dr Fariba Bogzaran. 7.30pm. £5.
Dr Bogzaran explores the implications from her pioneering quantitative study of lucid dreaming and experiencing ‘The Divine’ conscious state.

22nd June 2021. ‘Cursed and Enchanted Objects in Scottish History’ by Evelyn Hollow. 7.30pm. £5.
Paranormal Psychologist and Writer, Evelyn Hollow approaches the topic of ‘cursed’ or ‘enchanted’ objects from a historical, anthropological and parapsychological perspective.

29th June 2021. ‘The Case For Pantheism’ by Dr Philip Goff. 7.30pm. £5.
Panpsychist, Dr Philip Goff argues in favour of a physical universe over the existence of a supernatural God. Dr Goff addresses three arguments in favour of the existance of God with counterarguments from a Pantheistic perspective.
