About

Exploring altered states of consciousness through Trance

Join Arthur Findlay College Tutor,  Minister of the SNU and Spiritualist Medium, Kim Moore-Cullen in exploring deeper states of Attunement, Trance and the associated physical phenomena.

What is Trance?

The Trance state, once developed in Attunement with the Spirit world, allows a closer connection to Spiritual energies. Put simply: less of us and our mental ‘chatter’ and a more blended state with Spirit.

It is classed as mental mediumship and is a specific advanced state, developed over time.

To enable this work individuals learn to subdue their own conscious mind and work to encourage a ‘mind to mind’ blending with the Spiritual team. Eventually this allows a deeper connection and further Spiritual development and awareness of the power of the Spirit.

It can be applied to different areas of working with Spirit, for example Spiritual healing, evidential communication, philosophy, Spirit art and writing.

This workshop will introduce you to the basics of Trance and altered states of consciousness. Working with Kim will support and encourage the deeper states of connection and this will allow the Spirit to move closer to you and share knowledge and insights with you on your pathway of Spiritual and personal development; a more ‘hand in glove’ approach.

Spiritual Trance states enable Spiritual growth. Andrew Jackson Davis a Spiritual pioneer considered it ‘the superior state’!

Please note: there will be a separate follow up workshop in November.

What to Expect on this Workshop

Part 1:

The mechanics of Trance will be explained and will include discussing and participating in variations in attunement to Spirit. Attendees will use empowerment techniques and explore different types of Trance mediumship to find the best methods and avenues for their own Trance work.

Part 2:

This will cover practical Trance work, and will focus on the use of Trance for Spiritual healing. Most people have healing potential, and whichever area of Trance attendees choose to focus on in the future, it is useful to develop the connection to healing as well. Healing allows practitioners to build energy and this can facilitate development in any other direction.

Attendees will work in pairs to Attune themselves for healing, focussing on their Spirit (within themselves), Atmosphere (the location), and their Sitter (their partner).

Bring with you: a pen, a notepad, a 2 metre ribbon or cord (wool, string, etc.) and a soft toy.

Lunch, tea and coffee will be served throughout the day.
