Submerge in Sound
Join us every Thursday evening for the ultimate self-care experience. Immerse yourself in stress-relieving, energy reviving sound.
Morag Rollo facilitates Gong Bath sessions on the 1st floor of the Centre. Gong Baths are a type of passive meditation. Simply lie down and ‘bathe’ in the healing vibrations of sound.
Gong Baths are great for relaxation, emotional relief and pain management. Imagine yourself lying down in an ambiently lit room, cocooned in blankets as sound washes over your entire being. It is complete bliss.
Gong Baths offer relief from stress, fatigue and depression. The gongs can provide a gateway to an altered state of consciousness. In this trance-like state, you are more capable of processing emotion and trauma. The vibrations bypass the rational part of your mind to provide unconscious healing and care.
Give yourself a chance to feel happier, calmer and less anxious with a weekly Gong Bath session.
Each session costs £17. You can save money by booking a block of 4 sessions for £60. Booking is done online or, if you prefer, you can call us on 0131 625 0700 during office hours.
What to Expect
Morag usually allows 90 minutes for a group sound bath. She likes to include a short meditation or a self-Shiatsu to assist you in totally relaxing into the experience. She also gives plenty of time to feel grounded afterwards for ultimate benefits.
She has seven gongs of various sizes and tones and a collection of various instruments to help ground you afterwards.
Mats will be provided. You are recommended to bring blankets if you wish or anything else to remain cosy.
