ABOUT
Parapsychology and its Place in Science and Education Today: An Open Discussion
During the twentieth century science and education were separated completely from religion, the spiritual and reports of what were seen as strange experiences, but in particularly the last century, many scientists sought to reconsider this split. The psychology department where Callum Cooper works at the University of Northampton is substantial with a number of staff and students engaged in parapsychology and transpersonal psychology topics. In other words things have changed. But what relationship do science and education now have with this subject? If blank dismissal of anything ‘non-scientific’ is no longer an option how should we include the anomalous and even the spiritual in our teaching and research?
Join us at 7:30 PM via ZOOM. The Tuesday Talk will last for around 45 minutes and is followed by a live Q&A.
You can purchase a ticket online for £6.00 or you can call us on 0131 625 0700 to book over the phone. Season passes are available and grant access to all the New Year 2022 talks for a heavily discounted price.

TELEPHONE CALLS FROM THE DEAD
Continuing the Work of Rogo and Bayless
A collection and analysis of accounts by those who believe they have received communication from the dead via telephone.
This book is a continuation of a study published in 1979 by Rogo and Bayless about similar phenomena. Cooper looks at new accounts, sees how cases can be classified and what conclusions can be drawn from the data. Cooper takes a social sciences approach, the phenomena cannot be recreated in the laboratory but those who say they have experienced it can be interviewed and questioned further, accounts can be classified by various criteria and the data can be analyzed for patterns.
