Tuesday Talks

Extraordinary Evidence for an Extraordinary Claim: The SoulPhone Experiments | Prof. Gary E. Schwartz

16th November 2021 | 7.30pm until 9.00pm BST | £5 | Online

The Survival of Consciousness After Physical Death

Join Prof. Gary Schwartz for our next Tuesday Talk in which he will explore evidence from advanced spirit technology research.

This presentation makes the case that contemporary ‘SoulPhone’ findings provide the ‘tipping point’ evidence for survival of consciousness after physical death. This evidence has five elements:

+ Validated near death experiences
+ Documented past lives accounts
+ Confirmed after-death communications
+ Verified mediumship communications, and
+ Replicated demonstrations of advanced technology responses.

It is the fifth of these, involving advanced technology, publicly referred to as SoulPhone research, that provides the most compelling evidence for survival of consciousness and makes the case ‘beyond virtually any doubt.’

Drawing on his two recent books that address the processes of truth-seeking in science and the law (The Case for Truth: Why and How to Seek Truth and Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence: The Science and Ethics of Truth Seeking and Truth Abuse) Prof. Schwartz will outline a comprehensive scientific-legal framework for organizing and evaluating claims and evidence, called the Five Additive Criteria Test. These criteria are:

+ Logic and theory
+ Observations and evidence
+ Community of credible and trustworthy believers
+ Direct personal experiences, and
+ Responsible consideration of scepticism

Logic demands that if careful evaluations of these five criteria (for a given hypothesis or claim) all exceed the standard of ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ and the five evaluations are combined, then responsible reasoning requires that we accept the hypothesis or claim as being most likely true.

Given the extraordinary nature of the survival-of-consciousness hypothesis, especially as perceived by mainstream scientists and media sceptics, the case for survival of consciousness requires extraordinary evidence. In this presentation Scwartz shares some of the best-case evidence from SoulPhone research which, when integrated with experimental mediumship research, leaves virtually no room for reasonable doubt concerning the reality of life beyond physical death.

Join us at 7:30 PM BST via ZOOM. Professor Schwartz’s Tuesday Talk will last for around 45 minutes and is followed by a live Q&A.

You can purchase a ticket online for £5.00 (plus ticket processing fee) or you can call us on 0131 625 0700 to book over the phone (no fee). Season passes are available and grant access to all the Autumn 2021 talks for a heavily discounted price.
