ABOUT

The Survival of Consciousness After Physical Death

Join Prof. Gary E. Schwartz for our next Tuesday Talk. Drawing on exemplary evidence from advanced spirit technology research,
this presentation makes the case that contemporary SoulPhone findings provide the ‘tipping point’ evidence for survival of consciousness after physical death.

This Tuesday Talk makes the case that among the best categories of evidence for the reality of survival of consciousness and life beyond physical death, especially:

• Category 1 – Validated near death experiences
• Category 2 – Documented past lives accounts
• Category 3 – Confirmed after death communications
• Category 4 – Verified mediumship communications, and
• Category 5 – Replicated demonstrations of advanced technology responses,
it is Category 5 – Contemporary experimental technology research, publicly referred to as SoulPhone research (e.g. www.thesoulphonefoundation.org ), that provides the most compelling, tipping point evidence for survival of consciousness, and makes the case ‘beyond virtually any doubt.’

Drawing on the authors’ two recent books that comprehensively address the complementary processes of truth seeking in science and the law, The Case for Truth: Why and How to Seek Truth (Bourey and Schwartz, 3), and Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence: The Science and Ethics of Truth Seeking and Truth Abuse (Schwartz, 4), in this presentation Prof. Schwartz outlines a comprehensive scientific-legal framework for organizing and evaluating claims and evidence, called the Five Additive Criteria Test or FACT (e.g. Schwartz, 5, 6). The five FACT criteria are:

• Criterion 1 – Logic and theory
• Criterion 2 – Observations and evidence
• Criterion 3 – Community of credible and trustworthy believers
• Criterion 4 – Direct personal experiences, and
• Criterion 5 – Responsible consideration of skepticism about Criteria 1-4.

Logic demands that if the careful evaluations of these five criteria (for a given hypothesis or claim) each exceed the standard of beyond reasonable doubt, and when the five evaluations are combined (added), then responsible reasoning requires that we accept the summary hypothesis or claim as being most likely true.

Given the arguably extraordinary nature of the survival of consciousness hypothesis, especially as perceived by mainstream scientists and media skeptics, constructing a convincing case for survival of consciousness requires the collection of complementary extraordinary evidence. In this presentation Scwartz shares some of the best-case, exemplary tipping point evidence, primarily from experimental SoulPhone research, integrated with complementary experimental mediumship research, that together leave virtually no room for reasonable doubt concerning the reality of life beyond physical death.

At the end of the presentation, Scwartz summarizes the tipping point case and include a Category 5 (Advanced Technology), Einsteinian ‘Gedankenexperiment’ or ‘thought experiment.’ The Gedankenexperiment involves our imagining using a practical SoulPhone device to dialogue with Einstein about the physics of the survival of consciousness and his personal experiences of the greater reality. Finally, he invites you to consider: With whom would like to dialogue, and why?

Join us at 7:30 PM BST via ZOOM. Professor Schwartz’s Tuesday Talk will last for around 45 minutes and is followed by a live Q&A.

You can purchase a ticket online for £5.00 (plus ticket processing fee) or you can call us on 0131 625 0700 to book over the phone (no fee). Season passes are available and grant access to all the Autumn 2021 talks for a heavily discounted price.
