
WOMEN PIONEERS OF TAI CHI CHU’UAN
The story of 2 contrasting but remarkable women. Both were living in Shanghai in 1949, both were dancers, both had had traumatic times during World War II and both were the first non-Chinese teachers of the Tai Chi Chu’uan – Sophia Delza teaching at the Carnegie Hall in New York and Gerda Geddes at The Place, Centre for Contemporary Dance in London.
The speaker, Harriet Devlin, is the daughter of Gerda Geddes and currently teaches Tai Chi at the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre.
