A great Fringe success

September 10, 2026

Our Fringe 2026 programme was a fantastic success, with the Arthur Conan Doyle Centre welcoming approximately 815 attendees across 29 performances. It was wonderful to see such strong support for our varied programme of theatre, storytelling, comedy and music, and to welcome so many people through the doors of the Centre during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The season featured a diverse range of performances, including Adele Birkmyre: Total Chaos, Sherlock Holmes: The Death and Life, Tales of Haunted Edinburgh, The Conjuring Coach and Rhapsody in Chicago Blues. Together, they helped create a lively and engaging programme that attracted both new and returning visitors to the Centre.

The overall attendance is a very encouraging reflection of the interest in the Centre as a Fringe venue and performance space. Beyond the numbers, the season gave us an opportunity to introduce new audiences to the building, showcase a diverse range of performers and contribute to the unique atmosphere of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We are enormously grateful to the performers, volunteers, audiences and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the season such a success.
